Windsor State School was a first time visit for us this Easter. What a beautiful school this is! You would never think that this school is right in the middle of Brisbane. There were big trees, real grass around all of the gardens and oval, a rock wall and the building was absolutely stunning.

The kids here had so much fun drumming, singing and dancing at Windsor State School. Our highlight was definitely the educators. We heard the children singing with their educators before we got started and the level of care for the children was 100%. It really did feel like we had stepped into a little pocket of paradise.

We ran the workshop in the large undercover area outside and the day was glorious. All of our Easter incursions have had less numbers this year. With children and families away due to covid and close contacts, numbers were down in every single centre. Interestingly enough when this happens the children do actually benefit as it gives us the opportunity to have a small session for the older children and a larger session for the smaller children. This way we can really cater for that older age group and give them the max experience. Due to absences this Easter, we have really enjoyed ramping up our session with the older children and giving them something a little bit more challenging on the drums.
