Beginners and experienced drumming classes

Yes, well its that time. Starting in 2 weeks, classes will be divided into beginners and experienced drumming classes in Palmwoods. If you have been drumming with us for a while or have had some private tuition, then your class will be on Tuesday evenings 6-7pm @ Palmwoods Memorial Hall and if you have just begun or would like to start drumming your class will be on Wednesdays 6-7pm @ The Girl Guide Hut. The advanced class will be exploring complex rhythms more deeply with solo skills introduced and ghosting encouraged. The beginners class will be focusing on the fundamentals of African drumming including the introduction and technique for bass, tone and slaps. The group will begin playing  basic ensemble parts for traditional West African rhythms, explore left and right hand coordination strength and call and response.  If you would like some advice on which class is best for you please feel free to speak with Nathaniel before classes begin. Classes will continue to run with the school term in 5 week blocks at $79.
