This Easter, we visited Coolum OSHC for some drumming, singing and dancing at Coolum State School. Vacation Care drumming with Coolum OSHC is always a blast. The kids were fun, engaged and excited. Some of the children remembered us from last time. They had a great time showing their expertise on the drums. Children were singing loud, drumming hard and shaking their shakers with exceptional dance skills. Some children had their moment showing us their breakdancing moves. There were a few ballerinas in the group also. Solos were a highlight this session. Children were far from shy and keen to give their dance moves a go whilst their friends were drumming for them.
It never ceases to amaze us at how open and brave children are in front of their peers and friends. They are so far removed from social hang ups and love to express themselves whether it be through dancing, playing music or using their voice. We are reminded of this every day. Coolum OSHC was just another fine example. We have a lot to learn from the children of today.
Coolum is such a beautiful location and we always make time for a dip down to the ocean after a big day of workshops with the kids at Coolum State School with Coolum OSHC. It’s a little treat we look forward to every year.
