The Sangban is the middle size drum of the dundun set and often plays the defining phase of a rhythm. This drum can be either a soft or hard wood depending on the tone and projection required. These drums are fitted with Australian cow hide on both sides using top quality marine rope. These drums are made to order and you have the option to choose your own rope and fabric colours to complete your individual design.
Kenkeni
The Kenkenni is the smallest size drum of the dundun set, is the timekeeper and completes the melody of the rhythm. This drum can be either a soft or hard wood depending on the tone and projection required. The Kenkeni are fitted with Australian cow hide on both sides using top quality marine rope. These Kenkeni are made to order and you have the option to choose your own rope and fabric colours to complete your individual design.
Gankogui
The double bell gankogui is a hand-forged iron bell. One gankogui actually consists of two bells, the smaller, higher-pitched one resting atop the larger, lower one. Many Eve ensembles include two gankoguiwo, one much bigger than the other.
Shekere
The shekere is an instrument from West Africa consisting of a dried gourd with beads woven into a net covering the gourd. Throughout the continent there are similar gourd/bead or gourd/seed percussion instruments. Some are the lilolo, axatse (Ghana), djabara (Guinea), ushàkà, and chequere. It is predominantly called shekere in Nigeria.
