Camp Afro Foli 2019
As the cover poster might suggest we are super excited and Camp Afro Foli is just around the corner. We have incredible artists, a new venue and the added bonus of a fully catered camp at no extra cost. The program this year is going to have you drumming and dancing in your seats and probably in your sheets aswell!! And you, as our special reader get to see our very first release of the program.
Meet Mali, our new member to Rhythm Culture. Mali specialises in biting, barking and looking super cute. She has already managed to acru a fan base of Rhythm Culture students. Mali wont be attending camp due to animal restrictions and no students you can’t puppy sit because you will be at Camp Afro Foli. 🙂
Highlife Pozible Campaign and Video Clip
Highlife is recording their debut album of original, afro/psych-world beat-tribal grooves music and need your support to finish it off. They have already released two songs, one featuring Bassidi Koné on balafon and an official video clip for Sing My Soul. There are heaps of incredible incentives to say THANKS!! for the support so check it out!
Drum and Dance Classes
Drum and Dance classes have been pumping! We kicked off the year with about 40 new people in the drumming class and it has been super awesome rolling out new rhythms with our Foli Kan Performance group. Foli Kan have been working on the rhythms Soli and Dundunba for their upcoming performance at Camp Afro Foli and you will also see some fun dundun dancing too! Don’t forget you can come just for the Saturday performance and this includes dinner and desert too!!
Drum Sing Dance Program
Over the past few months we have been working on our new 2019 DRUM SING DANCE program and over the Easter School holidays we have been rolling out this exciting new program to Vacation Care Services across South East QLD. The feedback has been super awesome and our time with children just seems to only get more and more entertaining. We have included a couple of our most recent experiences with Moggill State School and our Toowoomba Regional Tour.
You can catch all of these stories and more via this newsletter and also don’t forget to stay updated on important dates and Camp Afro Foli news on our Facebook and Instagram pages!
See you all soon!
