MUSO FOLI DANCE TROUPE PERFORMS AFRICAN DANCE FOR LOCAL FESTIVAL
Local community dance group set to share some moves at the Afro Foli Festival this July.
For the past year Muso Foli Dance Troupe have been performing their West African dance moves to the people of the Sunshine Coast at various events such as Ocean St World Festival and local venues like The Nook and Cranny. Their training and choreography has been mostly based on world renowned West African artists such as Moustapha Bangoura and Epizo Bangoura and you will always find them accompanied by live drumming.
The four local women with origins in France, Brazil, Australia and Switzerland, come together to celebrate their love of West African dance and rhythms. The group, Emilie, Pascale, Melina and Bec will be performing for the Afro Foli Festival and not only will the community get to see these women in performance on the night but they will be immersed into the music, drumming and culture of Africa from a huge selection of international and local artists playing on the night.
