After uncertain times its feels fabulous to be finally getting on with it! School holiday incursions were a blast! On January 11 we visited the Paradise Kids Club in Pacific Paradise on the Sunshine Coast were celebrating Africa for their day programming and exploring movement and sound. Another fantastic visit we had was with Playhouse Parent and Childcare Centre in St Lucia. They were a great bunch of kids enjoying drumming and dancing for their school holiday incursions.
BACK TO SCHOOLS WITH OSHC
It was super awesome to visit Immaculate Heart again. This time we were drumming and dancing with Immaculate Heart Outside School Hours Care in One Mile, QLD. They loved learning about different multicultural aspects of African culture. Blair Outside School Hours Care located in Sadliers Crossing had us visit again. This visit we shared our Groovers In Guinea workshop.
THE BIG DAY
On January 15th, we were set for a huge day. Unfortunately due to COVID -19 we had our exciting workshops with Autism Camp Australia reschedule but once again we finally got to visit the Bush Kidz Child Care Blacksoil. Throughout 2019 we worked alongside this team trying to get an incursion happening but thanks to COVID – 19 it took one year!! So seeing these children was a real treat after so long! To finish the day we headed to PCYC Scarborough OSHC and these children were expecting to have some fun and they certainly did! Great group, smiling happy and engaged kids ready for our school holiday incursion action.
WEEKEND TREATS FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN
For a weekend treat we headed to Harmony Early Leaning Journey in Springfield. This new centre has just opened and we treated the parents and children to some African music with lots of drumming and percussion. We love working with the harmony crew. The Open Days are always a treat! And that pretty much sums us up for one week in January! Looking forward to sharing more of our experiences with these awesome holiday groups!
