Rhythm Culture team says farewell to Bassidi Kone.

Last week we said goodbye to Bassidi and Freya after a two week tour along the East Coast. There were workshops in the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Byron Bay as well as performances at Solbar, Cafe Le Monde and Coorabell Hall near Byron. Although we had a non-stop schedule of travel and gigs, we managed to spend some quality time with Bassidi once again eating good food, sharing family time and of course, learning more about his culture and traditions in Mali. We were delighted to exchange our cultural differences and stories with a man so close to his home and family. We wish Freya and Bassidi a safe journey home and we look forward to planning exciting projects in the future! Thanks to all those that came and supported our events and workshops!
