Happy New Year everyone! We are back with Drum and Dance for 2023 and we are super excited! How many of you have NY resolutions that include getting fit and spending more time with people doing what you love?!
African dance for all levels is on Tuesdays at Palmwoods Memorial Hall 6.30pm. All fitness levels welcome. Live drumming. Structured West African dance choreography. Learn rhythm calls, rhythm moves, sequences and funky fun fast paced warm ups. Beginners learn moves, routines with break downs. Experienced dancers learn sequences and technique. Great vibe, lots of sweat and smiles. Great for fitness and enjoy learning dance to live music. Men and children 8+ welcome.
If dancing is not for you learn West African drumming from 5.30pm. West African rhythms, breaks, calls and ensemble parts will be taught in three levels (beginners, intermediate and experienced) in this one open class. Warm up with coordination exercises and get the brain and hands moving. Create muscle memory that brings you joy, fitness, skill and group synchronization!
