We had an awesome session on Saturday 6th March with the experienced dance group for our first African Dancing Intensive Event. At such late notice, it was a great turn out and we worked on sequences from a few different rhythms such as Dunundba and Soko as well as starting our new choreography for Sorbonikun.

The session ran for 1.5 hours and from start to finish we danced hard and fast! There was even a fire in the Palmwoods Pub across the road for some extra entertainment!!! The lovely Mica, took some beautiful shots and we can’t wait to do this all again next month for our next two African dancing intensive events on March 6th for the experienced group and then the 13th March for the OPEN session. You can book your session here.

These sessions are for anyone that is looking to improve what they already do or for those that would like to start something new. The OPEN intensives are a great way to engage with movement and rhythm without the pressure of a weekly class. A great introduction to West African Dance. Bring your friends for a fast paced sweaty workout!

Stay tuned for drum intensive dates to be announced soon.
