Dundun dance classes on the sunshine coast

Dundun dance classes are Drumming and Dancing! This is an active dance class which combines West African dance moves with West African Dundun drumming.  Dunduns are played with sticks and are cylindrical in shape and double ended. They originate from  West Africa. This class will have you moving around your drum, clapping sticks, beating drums and smiling large. It is incredibly fun and you needn’t be a dancer or a drummer to do this class. It is a fantastic class for stress relief, fitness and coordination.

We always recommend this class to all of our drumming students. Developing an understanding of the dance to a rhythm is essential to African culture and music.
