Rhythm Culture presents music lessons Maleny.

“I have been teaching and facilitating drumming classes and workshops for almost 10 years. Rhythm is contagious and everyone can do it, so come and join in the fun!” – Nathaniel Combs

These music lessons are for everyone! All levels of African Drumming are welcome including  beginners with no previous experience to intermediate and experienced players. Families are also welcome with children 8+.  The focus for these classes will be technique and all the different parts that make  African rhythms so groovy and contagious. Students will be introduced to African instruments and will have the opportunity to explore their own style and musical creativity in a relaxed and fun environment. So come play with us and get into some rhythm culture!

Open Music lessons

Open Classes Coming Soon!

This is an open class, designed for individuals that have had no previous experience in West African music to individuals with an intermediate level in African Drumming .  Families are also welcome with children 8+.  The focus for these drum classes will be technique and accompaniment for West African rhythms. Students will be introduced to African instruments and will have the opportunity to explore their own style and musical creativity in a relaxed and fun environment.

Ensemble Music lessons

Ensemble class coming soon!

These classes are designed for those that have had experience with West African instruments, rhythm and performance.  Musicians, performers, Music teachers and percussionists will enjoy the challenging rhythms and solos in this class. The focus of this class is to create an ensemble using a variety of West African instruments and to explore the  complex rhythms of Africa!
