Wow! So, after a whirlwind of Christmas lights, jingle bells, consumer sales and too much food and drink, we are now in Christmas and New Year silence. Looking back, the events, to do lists and expectations seemed out of our control and almost overwhelming.  The funny thing is is that we created all of it and its all made up! Hilarious!  I guess we all make chaos at different points in our lives but when everyone is doing it at the same time. phew! how exhausting! Needless to say, what fun we’ve had! too much food, shopping, partying, great music and joyous vibes with a beautiful circle of friends.  Christmas was celebrated with family, pressies, gourmet lunch and a beach trip and then it was off to Woodford Folk Festival on Boxing day. Blessed with performers camping, we were surrounded by  phenomenal musicians all week and saw incredible local and international acts! Highlights of this Woodford were definately Yenenesh’s dance workshop/performance at The Dancehall stage..perhaps we are bias? No! She was incredible and she had the venue grooving to Guinean dance moves for a memorable hour.  Love that womans style!  It would take me days to list all the amazing acts and talents at that festival but i must mention The Men in Briefs, need i say more?! For one last hit of entertainment on Jan 1st The Hayden Hack INFUSION played at The Pineapple Lounge! Awesome! bias again?! No! This band is incredible despite the fact that Nathaniel is the percussionist. So, today on recovery from Woodford we are full with good times and memories and now another year has begun. No, the world didn’t end and life goes on.  What memories, good times or chaos will you create this year? Its now time to sit back, take a deep breath and enjoy the ride!
